Women’s month is being celebrated every March, and International Women’s day is being observed every 8th of March. The theme for this year is “Juana, ang Tatag Mo ay Tatag Natin sa Pagbangon at Pagsulong!”. With all the calamities that happened to our country – Zamboanga crisis, Earthquake in Bohol, Typhoon Yolanda that hit Tacloban, pork barrel and many others, still Filipinos are united to stand and fight. The spirit of camaraderie existed in every people during those dreaded times.
Help from every nation spurted. Men, women and children across the globe did everything to help in the recovery and rehabilitation of our nation.
This years’ celebration is dedicated to all women who are part of the recuperation of our country from the vast tragedies that struck our nation. The stability of Juana, a representation of every woman, is the stability of everyone to rise and to move forward.
Today, as we celebrate International Women’s Month and International Women’s day, the Department of Health – Regional Office 12 participates in the activity spearheaded by Cotabato City Council for Women.
And last March 8, 2014 an activity called Women’s March was participated by Government, Non-government Organizations, academe and private individuals to let everybody be aware of the importance of women in the society.
With that, let us thank every women in the world who gave us strength, courage, happiness and most of all… LOVE.
