MR-OPV-MI Campaign Program ReviewThe Department of Health, Regional Office XII headed by Director Teogenes F. Baluma successfully conducted the Measles Rubella-Oral Polio Vaccine Mass Immunization (MR-OPV-MI) Post Campaign Review and EPI Planning Workshop last January 12-16, 2015 in Camiguin Island, Philippines. Getting the commitment of the Local Government Units and their acceptance of the challenge to achieve the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) targets are the ultimate objectives of the said activity.  The activity was very successful that one of the participants called it as “the best and well planned regional activity”.

Director Teogenes F. Baluma was very appreciative and is very thankful to all, the Local Chief Executives, Municipal Health Officers (MHO), Public Health Nurses (PHN), Midwives, BHWs and others, that contributed to the success of the said activity and helped the region come up with the best ever initiative.

According to Director Baluma, we started the year with a BIG BANG for EPI and hope it will end with another BIG BANG by achieving our targets and saving more children from vaccine preventable diseases through the implementation of the Local Government Units plans.
