A recent survey was conducted by Jama Health on selected individuals on their hesitancy to be vaccinated. The development of the vaccines was eagerly awaited but there was also an increase rejection of inoculation. This poses strain and stress on the person’s mental health while making their decision to be vaccinated or not.
Fear of adverse effects was the top reason why they don’t want to be vaccinated and this is due to misinformation on the consequences of inoculation. For the DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN employees to overcome this and in preparation for the inoculation, the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Mental health program supported by the Gender and Development (GAD) plan conducted stress debriefing last May 18, 2021 on 60 employees belonging to Priority A2 and Priority A3.
