The collaborative activity of the different national and local line agencies with the President Roxas Rural Health Unit of Cotabato Province, Cotabato Integrated Provincial Health Office and the Department of Health – Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region joined the Local Serbisyo Caravan of the Cotabato Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) to deliver the programs and services of the government in the Municipality of President Roxas in Barangays Mabuhay, Lomonay, Kamarahan, Sagcungan, and Barangay Tuael conducted on April 15, 2021, and Barangay Alegria on April 22, 2021.
Dr. Eva C. Rabaya, Provincial Health Officer II, warned the public about the COVID-19 menace, saying that the virus has claimed many lives and that COVID-19 has become a constant threat to everyone, affecting the economy and the jobs of both private and government personnel. She also urges to get immunized.
Meanwhile, Ms. Rona B. Gelvoleo, RN, Development Management Officer IV, likewise encouraged the public to get vaccinated as soon as possible to reach the herd immunity of the entire municipality emphasizing the 10 MUST - KNOWS on COVID-19.
The following health services were conducted during the Serbisyo Caravan: supplementary feeding among malnourished children, medical and oral Health; lectures on safe motherhood, health and sanitation. likewise, pregnant women received buntis kits that can help them during their delivery.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) handed away a height board and weighing scales, while the CHD-SOCCSKSARGEN handed over a variety of medicines to the indentified barangays.
The ELCAC Serbisyo Caravan was successfully conducted through the effort of the Municipal government office headed by Honorable Jonathan O. Mahimpit, Municipal Mayor who assured the residents that the government is ready to respond to the needs of the people and to address problems in their respective barangays.
