March 7 - 13 is Philippine Digestive Health Week
Ngayong Digestive Health Week bigyang-pansin natin ang ating panloob na kalusugan. Huwag balewalain kung ikaw ay patuloy na nakakaranas ng hindi pagkatunaw ng pagkain, agad na kumunsulta sa pinakamalapit na Primary Care Provider (PCP) sa inyong lugar.
Gawing regular ang ehersisyo at wastong nutrisyon para tiyan natin ay normal ang digestion!

Through Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988, stated that "Declaring the First Week of March of Every Year as Women’s Week and March 8, 1988, and every year thereafter as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day, the Department of Health – Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN region commemorated the Women’s Month Celebration, with the theme "We For Gender Equality And Inclusive Society, along with the hashtag #WeCanBeEqual."
The program was opened by assistant regional director Sulpicio Henry M. Legaspi Jr., MD, MPH, FPSMS, who highlighted that women are now empowered and have been receiving equal treatment in the office and on applications. He emphasized in his speech that "we should respect women and respect our womanhood, especially also “ang mga mothers natin na may ginawang malaking sakripisyo para po tayo ay isilang sa mundo”. He also mentioned about strengthening the mission towards achieving zero maternal deaths in the region.
The Family Health Cluster was challenged to continue educating and caring for women to prevent certain causes of maternity deaths. Furthermore, the event was celebrated with program updates and lectures, as follows:
1. Lea Grace C. Yonting, RM, for the Safe Motherhood Program
2. Mary Agnes A. Panton, RN, for Women and Children's Protection Program
3. Melva A. Magana, RN, for Family Planning
4. Almira A. Solaiman, RN, for HIV/AIDS
5. Mohammad Zein B. Kali, RN, for Mental Health
The program also offered services, such as blood typing, random blood sugar collection, vital sign taking, distribution of family planning commodities, distribution of ferrous sulfate, and distribution of HIV condoms, which were facilitated by the SOCCSKSARGEN General Hospital and the Family Health Cluster headed by Dr. Edvir Jane S. Montaner, MO IV.
The event was ended by the Chief of the Local Health Support Division, Amebella G. Taruc, MD, MPM, who gave closing remarks and left a message that women should be empowered.
