The Department of Health - Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region in partnership with City Health Office of General Santos City hosted the Regional Measles Rubella-Oral Polio Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-OPV SIA) Launching at Robinsons Place, General Santos City. This activity aims to protect our children from vaccine preventable diseases specifically measles, rubella and poliomyelitis which can only be prevented through vaccination.

Undersecretary of Health Abdullah Dumama Jr., MD, MPA, CESO I, gave a message of support for this campaign and encouraged the parents to get their children vaccinated.

The activity was attended by the personnel from LGU Gensan, CHO Gensan, volunteers from Phil. Red Cross, PNP, media partners, parents and healthcare workers.
